Professional Cinematography

It doesn’t often happen, but sometimes technical glitches do occur. For what should have been Jaypee & Adrian’s same day edit, slowly turned into a next day edit after an evening marathon of technical anomalies. Nevertheless our team pulled through the night, well into the morning to trouble shoot the problem; even having to rebuild pieces of the edit.

Although several hours overdue we finally have our edit to share. With amazing patience from Jaypee & Adrian, we are excited to finally be able to unfold the events of their amazing and very emotional wedding day. Being a ‘unique’ wedding held on a Thursday evening, it was definitely not one to forget!

Nancy and Kyle are a true testament to finding the one true love. They were together only about 9 months before Kyle decided to pop the question, and it’s obvious why it took no time at all for them to realize that this was for life.

Kyle, who is a set designer by day at www.akacreativegroup.ca, demonstrated his meticulous attention to detail throughout the wedding planning process and Nancy was not too far behind, knowing exactly what she did and didn’t want for their wedding day. You can tell what a great eye for design they have as soon as you enter the front door to their home – which we must say, is better than any model home than we’ve ever seen.

The ceremony took place a week ago at the People’s Church and the reception was held tonight on the roof top patio at the ultra modern Thompson Hotel with a 360 degree panoramic view of downtown Toronto. As soon as the sun set, we shared this highlight video with them and their guests on the outdoor patio – it was definitely one of the most unique presentations we’ve made thus far.

It’s rare that we get an opportunity to cover a destination wedding. But this past week, we had the great pleasure of joining Jackie and Nick in the Riviera Maya in hot and beautiful Mexico! We were not only honoured guests but were invited to capture every great moment spent with each of their family and friends.

After returning yesterday, we decided to present them with an edit highlighting almost every moment from beginning to end. The wedding was the primary reason for our journey but also the fun-filled excursions to the Mayan ruins paired up with an adventure tour deep in the Mexican jungle, some deep sea fishing for the boys and a relaxing catamaran trip for the girls. We also visited the infamous Coco Bongo night club and had a super rare chance to help endangered baby sea turtles get out to the ocean for the first time!

We’re so happy that we got to spend all this time with you, and hope you enjoy your video – congratulations and well done, Jackie & Nick!

Cynthia & Perry SDE

[music by christina perri]

One of the first things people say about Perry is that he’s always late. We’ve witnessed first hand a bit of proof of his punctuality, but on the day of the wedding, the one who was late was the pastor.

I am sure the car troubles that delayed the pastor did not bother the guests since they were enjoying the view at Casaloma.

The timing was the only little hiccup of the day much thanks to the meticulous planning by the bride Cynthia. During every meeting before the wedding, we were amazed the the attention to detail by the bride to be. Her bridal party say she’s been planning this day her entire life.

As part of the planning, Cynthia and Perry wanted a slideshow and an entrance video that spoke to their personality. Cynthia did the hard part and picked the pictures, we  did the easy part and put it together.

Cynthia loves singing in the car and watching a hidden camera show that features people singing in cars. So we thought it would be a fun idea to film something similar for the entrance.

It was quite incredible that despite living in different cities most of the time that this wedding came together so nicely. It’s a testament to their commitment to each other and their care for their guests.

Thanks Cynthia and Perry for having us on your special day!

Not too long ago we had the pleasure to work with some of our fellow vendors who are, not only a great source of inspiration, creativity and talent, but are so much fun to work with!

Take a look behind the scenes as our friend Lisa from Lavish & Light Photography (www.lavishandlight.com) teamed up with makeup artist Krista Lynn Samek, Laurel Munro Floral Design, and Made In Camera Cinematography for the very first time..

We hope to have the many more opportunities in the future where we get to work along side such friendly, like-minded creative minds!

Nina discusses life as the significant other of DJ J-Tec.

Used as Nina & Jeff’s entrance video at their wedding reception.

See their Same Day Edit here: http://wp.me/pV8Qo-6Q
Friends know her has “Nina”, family knows her as “Niki”.Fans know him as “J-Tec”, family knows him as Jeff.

You may recognize this couple from their “Anything you can do” video used as their entrance video at their reception.

They picked a unique date that happens only once a century: 11-11-11. The Atlantis Pavilion projected the same day edit on two screens, one inside, and the other on the exterior of the building.

Nina and Jeff had one of the most unique and creative themes we have ever seen at a wedding. They also provided a nice give away for their guests: flipbooks courtesy of http://mypartyimpressions.com. Watch to see what it is all about!

A member of Jeff’s bridal party is former DMC World Champion, DJ Dopey. He composed the music and we added the visuals.

Katie and Jimmy’s highlight video will be coming soon! Please check here again soon…

Jenn and Chris first stumbled upon each other in university. As Chris mentioned during a brief interview by his groomsmen in the lobby of the hotel, Chris was immediately drawn to Jenn when he first saw her, you could almost say it was love at first sight.

It was so apparent as we followed them through the Evergreen Brickworks how much he loves her. You can see it in his touch and simply in the way he looks at her.

This wedding holds a special place in the heart of one of Made in Camera’s team members who grew up with Jenn in elementary school. Though they drifted apart in high school, it wasn’t until almost a decade later at Amy and Brian’s wedding when they bumped into each other again [check out Amy and Brian’s SDE here: vimeo.com/16159188]. It’s amazing to have gone almost full circle from playing house in the school yard to now being given the opportunity to capture her wedding day.[music by matthew morrison]
