Rowena & Elmer Highlight

The union of 2 families is an important part of a marriage. Not only were Rowena and Nathan gaining a husband and a father in Elmer, but they were joining their two extra large families into one.

Family being extremely important to Row and Elm, we thought that it would be great to start from the beginning and let their parents tell us how they fell in love. They had no idea that we pulled their parents aside for this special interview and we were happy to share their stories to lead us into their highlight video.

Marielle and Angelo – Same Day Edit

This happy couple was just adorable…

It was a great Friday afternoon wedding in Bloor West Village – and thankfully it was not too hot or too humid!

Here is the Same Day Edit that we presented at their wedding reception held at the elegant 1 King West in the downtown core.

Congratulations Marielle and Angelo! We are so happy for the both of you!

Anna and John – Love Story

We had a pleasant, but insanely scorching hot time shooting Anna and John’s wedding this past weekend. The hot weather was unbelievable! But on top of the stunningly beautiful newly-weds and elaborately epic reception that followed was a special celebrity guest appearance by THE one and only Bob Saget, and Playboy Playmate Hope Dworaczyk! When does this ever happen!?!? Really! Cool huh?

Held at the beautiful Liberty Grand, the reception was amazing and hilarious! We loved shooting every minute of it! And it was here where we presented Anna and John’s Love Story on the big screen!…

Congrats to the newly weds, Anna and John!

kristen and richard – SDE – Love & Volleyball

Weddings are always a very exciting and momentous occasion, but putting one together usually causes a bride a lot of anxiety and stress just to get every detail absolutely perfect. For Kristen, “Ten” as she is called by her family and friends, she began her morning peacefully and calm as if it were any ordinary day.

After hearing the bad news about her limo breaking down which caused her and her team of bridesmaids to arrive at the church almost 1 hour late and even after the downpour of rain that decided to fall right as they arrived at their photo session location -something that would cause any other bride to have a meltdown, Ten was focused; she was marrying her one true love “Reach”.

Capturing couples like Ten and Reach, you can’t help but feel so humbled by how they never sweat the small stuff and hold on to what’s truly important in their lives… each other.

also a special thanks to all the cooperation from www.sandytam.ca and her awesome team!

kristen and richard – Wedding Reception Entrance Video

A lot of our couples ask us to do a Same Day Edit for them, a highlight edit, feature edit and sometimes a Engagement video (aka Love Story) for them. Kristen and Richard wanted something unique for their entrance into their reception.

Both love playing volleyball. Richard even proposed to Kristen with a volleyball!

So we booked a deserted island location and called up our friend Tom Cruise out to help us make their funny little Entrance Video…

melanie & ryan’s SDE – Rain and motorcycles don’t mix! Well… they do now!!!

Melanie and Ryan approached us early last year through our photog friend FJ Sarmiento, before we had even established ourselves as Made In Camera. They had full trust in us even back then to deliver something for them that we will never forget.

Another rainy wedding it was indeed, but to differ, Melanie and her team of bridesmaids soldiered the cold and wet weather and made for some amazing images for their edit. Ryan, adding his own flare with his hilarious personality was definitely made to be in front of the camera.

Thank you both for one amazing night! It’s so apparent how much you are loved by all your family and friends.

Notable moments:
@2:09 – Ryan brought to tears by Melanie’s walk down the aisle

@2:20 – the 2 fathers giving each other a high-five behind the bride and groom as they met at the altar

@3:27 – the GRAND entrance

– the violinist, more on this later….

Cindy and Anthony: On the hilltop

Here is proof a positive attitude can change the mood of the day and the weather. Cindy and Anthony’s wedding ceremony was planned to be on the hilltop outside of the McMichael Art Gallery.

Pouring rain forced the facility to start setting up inside. Cindy and Anthony’s positive attitude seemingly changed the weather like an episode from X-men, the animated series.

It is very easy to let nerves get the best of you on one of the biggest days of your life. Nerves didn’t appear to affect Cindy.

It was the culmination of a big series of events. A week after they got engaged, Cindy discovered she was pregnant. While Kaleb’s arrival altered short term plans, Kaleb only strengthened the bond of a relationship that already spanned 13 years. Cindy describes it best, “Now we’re a family”.

The new family received this film as a gift from very thoughtful friends.

Amy and Brian – Same Day Edit

The first time we met this couple we stumbled upon a petite Amy in a green dress doing push-ups at the front foyer of Christine and Andrew’s wedding reception (check out Christine and Andrews SDE here). Very odd, true.  But we hit it off as soon as we got to talking –  they wanted to book us for their wedding happening only a month later!

After some phone calls and emails back and forth, we ended up shooting their wedding with some amazingly mild October weather.

Some notable moments were when the Made in Camera team would accidentally catch Amy, Brian and their whole bridal party dancing around to no music – which happened quite frequently; Amy’s endless smiles, laughter and energy; Brian getting interviewed by his groomsmen in the limo; and a seriously “crazy” grand entrance at the reception.

Vanessa and Erwin – Same Day Edit

Vanessa and Erwin have been together for 10 years, so to be invited to capture such an amazing milestone in their lives was truly an honour.

Both being in the advertising business, there were notable creative touches all around, from the step and repeat wall which made all their guests feel like VIP’s on the red carpet to the use of the flip cameras to capture their own point of view during the wedding day.

The abandoned farm and corn field was a Made in Camera first, and definitely one wedding shoot that will never be forgotten. Check out the shots at 02:57!

Tiffany & Giovanny’s Same Day Edit

This couple first met dancing salsa – so we thought it’d only be appropriate to open up with an extra special dance number that we shot in the hotel lobby – just minutes before the doors opened up to the reception! We loved their passion for salsa music and the energy of all the guests – especially evident during Tiffany and Giovanny’s salsa entrance.

Here’s the video we later presented to Tiffany and Giovanny at their wedding reception.

Please feel free to share and leave a comment!
